Austin Homebuyers Benefit as Median Price Reaches $560K

Home prices and sales declined in the Austin metro area, with the median home price dropping 6.4% to $412,000 and sales falling 7.3% to 2,501 homes. Total sales volume decreased 11.1% to $1.4 billion. Pending sales rose 1.5% overall but fell 9.2% in Austin city, where median prices dropped 4.3% to $560,000. Williamson County saw a 4.1% sales decline and 5.9% price drop, but pending sales increased 9.3%.
